Collaborative Claims Process
- We won't settle a claim without the insured’s consent
- Insureds may report “potential claims” and “lock in” coverage for future claims
- Discretionary medical payments up to $10,000 per occurrence, for the medical expenses of persons injured by an insured’s treatment, regardless of fault
Assertive Defense
- Work with local attorneys who are highly experienced in MPL defense litigation
- Defense costs do not erode an insured’s limits of liability and we will defend an insured even if their limits of liability are exhausted by claims payments
- Reimbursement of up to $1,500 per day for attendance at trial or arbitration
Cyber Liability and Regulatory Defense Coverage
- All new and renewal policies are issued with the Cyber Liability and Regulatory Defense coverages at no additional premium cost.
- If you need additional cyber protection and limits higher than $100,000, additional coverage is available through our partner Tokio Marine HCC .
*Nevada Insureds: Regulatory Defense in Nevada does not include coverage for EMTALA proceedings and Stark proceedings (per statutory requirement). MICA does not provide Cyber Liability coverage on policies with an effective date on or after January 1, 2024.
