Employee Participation
Each year, MICA’s employees participate in several fundraisers that benefit the community. Recent charitable contributions have been made to Ronald McDonald Foundation Charities, Upward for Children and Families, Feed My Starving Children, and Circle the City. MICA also partners with United Blood Services to hold three blood drives per year.
Corporate Participation
Due to growing concern about the shortage of physicians in Arizona, MICA‘s Community Outreach program focuses on the healthcare community with a specific emphasis on keeping medical students and residents in Arizona. MICA Medical Foundation supports programs that focus on education and research by and for residents, fellows, and medical students. The MICA Medical Foundation Board has been thoughtful and deliberate in establishing a mission that will allow it to serve as a community partner for improving patient outcomes. With its grants, MICA Medical Foundation intends to aid the community through the pursuit of safe, effective, and compassionate delivery of health care for many years to come.
In addition, MICA’s staff conducts “Medical Professional Liability 101” presentations for various residency programs around Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. These presentations are available upon request.
